Paul Albano, GCash International general manager, said the collaboration enables overseas Filipinos to send money directly to their families' GCash accounts in a more efficient and secure way.

Albano added that this would also address the need for faster and more secure remittance options for Filipinos working abroad.

“The partnership between Viamericas and GCash empowers OFWs in these locations to send secure and fast remittances,” Albano said. "This collaboration enhances financial control for OFWs and strengthens connections with their families, making the remittance process easier than ever.”

Viamericas co-founder and executive chairman Joseph Argilagos noted that the partnership expands their presence in the Philippines by leveraging GCash's broad network. "This partnership perfectly aligns with our mission to empower communities by providing accessible, affordable, and reliable financial services," Argilagos said.

Viamericas' locations across North America aim to make sending money convenient for Filipinos throughout the region.

GCash reported that approximately 81 percent of Filipinos have a GCash account, granting them access to a wide range of financial services.
