The 2025 WA100 by Building Design ranks the world’s top architectural firms based on the number of fee-earning architects. This list highlights industry leaders and reflects trends such as sustainable design and the use of advanced technologies.
Five Philippine-based firms made the cut: Aidea, Asya, Visionarch, WTA Architecture, and Design Studio, plus newcomer Casas+Architects. Their inclusion showcases the country’s growing role in global architecture, driven by innovative designs, cultural relevance, strong client relationships, and the use of advanced tools, positioning these firms to deliver impactful projects in 2025.
Here are the five firms representing the Philippines:
1. Aidea
Inspired by the Latin “an idea ad esse” or “from ideas to reality,” has spent 25 years delivering integrated design and technology solutions. From a ten-man branch to a global leader in virtual design and construction, Aidea’s 326-strong team brings value to stakeholders across 90 cities on five continents through innovation and collaboration.
Ranking 40th in 2025 (39th last year), Aidea continues to lead with a fee income of US$10–19 million, solidifying its place among the world’s top design firms.
2. Asya Design
Asya, led by Architect Albert Yu since 1993, continues to showcase its excellence in design and commitment to sustainability. Known for its innovative approach and diverse portfolio, the firm has been consistently recognized as one of the BCI Asia Top Ten Architectural Firms in the Philippines since 2005.
For the 7th consecutive year, ASYA secured its spot in Building Design’s WA100 survey for 2025, rising to 54th from 79th last year. With 247 architects and a fee income of US$5–9 million, the firm solidifies its position as a global leader and a key advocate of green architecture.
3. Visionarch
Visionarch, a leading ASEAN architecture firm based in the Philippines, has completed over 1,000 projects, earning citations from the World Architecture Festival, Asia Pacific Property Awards, and more. Guided by its life-centric philosophy, Visionarch creates spaces that transcend form and function, focusing on enriching the full spectrum of life experiences.
With a diverse team of over 150 architects and designers, the firm consistently ranks among BCI Asia’s Top 10 in the Philippines and is proud to be included in Building Design’s WA100. Ranked 56th in 2025 (57th last year), the company employs 233 architects with a fee income of US$5–9 million.
4. Casas + Architects
Casas + Architects, Inc., founded in 1988, is a top architectural firm known for its commitment to excellence and innovation. Offering services like architectural design, interior design, and LEED consultancy, the firm has expanded with offices in Manila, Cebu, and Hong Kong.
With a skilled team and a focus on client satisfaction, Casas+Architects has earned a strong industry reputation and ranks 78th in the 2025 WA100, employing 150 architects with a fee income of US$5–9 million.
5. WTA Architecture and Design Studio
WTA Architecture and Design Studio, founded in 2007 by William Ti, Jr., is a Manila-based firm known for its passion-driven, collaborative approach to architecture. Specializing in urban design and sustainable planning, WTA has worked on a variety of projects, from retail spaces to large developments. The firm values continuous growth, both as a family and in its designs.
Ranked 80th in 2025 (up from 88th), WTA employs 148 architects with a fee income of US$10–19 million, reflecting its continued innovation and commitment to sustainable, functional, and creative design.
