“Dapat talaga na unahin ang mga suweldo ng ating empleyado. May pamilya bay sanda nga ginapakaon. Kag sanda bay ang backbone kang aton provincial government (We should prioritize their salary. They have families to feed. They are the backbone of our provincial government),” Cadiao said in a statement after complaints that the Antique Provincial Accountant’s Office has yet to release the December 2024 salary for remaining contract-of-service and job order workers.

Based on PAccO data, around 90 percent of COS and JO workers have already been paid.

But for the unpaid workers, Provincial Accountant Esther Minnie Julian said that the delay in payment is due to late submission of payroll and incomplete documents.

Julian said these workers are assigned at district hospitals managed by the provincial government.

She urged all administrative personnel to coordinate with PAccO and double-check the documents submitted.
