With all the government projects and programs, we need the cooperation of everybody)," he said in his vlog released on Sunday, Jan. 12.

We need new ideas and behavior that Filipinos facing new challenges must possess)," he added.

With this, Marcos hoped that Filipinos would practice discipline, excellence, and love for the country and their fellowmen.

I hope these are the characteristics that we embody this New Year)," he said.

Discipline

In his vlog, President Marcos shared how he would practice discipline, excellence, and patriotism this 2025.

I will take care of my body even more becase with my busy schedule, I can't afford to be sick)," he said.

"Bawal talaga na hindi makapasok. Bawal talaga na hindi maganda at maliwanag ang inyong pag-iisip (I cannot be absent. I can't afford to not have a clear mind)," he added.

According to the President, Filipinos can practice discipline the same way as well by showing discipline on the road, in their homes, finances, and even when conversing with other people.

Excellence

The President said he would foster a culture of excellence by supporting Filipinos who are putting themselves on the map.

I will do better this year and will support even more those who are excellent and are persevering)," he said.

We will recognize and introduce the excellent Filipinos to the world)," he added.

Marcos even cited Filipino singer Sofronio Vasquez who emerged victorious in the last season of the American reality singing competition "The Voice." Vasquez paid a courtesy call to President Marcos in Malacañan this week.

We should be looking for those excellent Filipinos)," he said.

Love for the country

Lastly, President Marcos hoped that Filipinos would have a renewed sense of patriotism this New Year.

"Dapat sa ating New Year's resolution, lagi nating kasama ang pagmamahal sa ating minamahal na Pilipinas (We should include loving our beloved Philippines in our New Year's resolution)," he said.

Marcos said showing the love for the country does not have to be on a nationwide scale.

"What can we do to shape the community, help our schools, build a playground? 'Yang maliliit na bagay napakalaking bagay 'yan pag pinagsama-sama mo (These little things become significant when you combine them)," he said.
