Traslacion 2025 ends after almost 21 hours

The Quiapo Church has concluded the Traslacion of the Jesus Nazareno as the image officially arrived at the Quiapo Church in Manila at 1:26 a.m., on Jan. 10. 

Here are the updates on the procession of the image of the Jesus Nazarene:

January 7, 2025: Over 22,327 devotees participated in the traditional "Pahalik" (kissing of the image) of the Jesus Nazareno at the Quirino Grandstand, a day before the Traslacion, or the commemoration of the transfer of the venerated image from the Recollect Church in Intramuros to Quiapo Church. 

Initially, the activity was scheduled to start at midnight on Tuesday, Jan. 7, but it began earlier as devotees started lining up at the venue after the Mass at 7 p.m. on Monday.

January 9, 2025

12:00 a.m.: The Vigil Mass for the feast of Jesus Nazareno was attended by over 70,000 people according to the Manila Public Information Office. 

4:41 a.m.: The procession or “Traslacion” officially starts.

5:00 - 6:00 a.m.: Crowd estimate as per Nazareno Operation Center

Quirino Grand Stand to Finance road: 80,000

Ayala Boulevard to Carlos Palanca: 77,000

Quiapo: 11,500

5:36 a.m.: The "Andas" passes by Katigbak drive.

5:41 a.m.: The image of  Jesus Nazareno passes by Finance Road.

6:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m.: Crowd estimate as per Nazareno Operation Center

Quirino Grand Stand to Finance road: 8,100

Ayala Boulevard to Carlos Palanca: 77,000

Quiapo: 16,000

6:17 a.m.: The carriage of the Jesus Nazareno reaches Padre Burgos Avenue. 

6:20 a.m.: The "Andas" passes by Taft Avenue.

7:10 a.m.: The "Andas" reaches Maria Orosa Street.

8:00 a.m.: Crowd estimate according to Manila Police District director, PBGEN. Arnold Thomas Ibay: Over 550,000 

8:05 a.m.: The “Andas” passes by Taft Avenue. 

8:22 a.m.: The image of the Jesus Nazareno passes by Ayala Boulevard. 

9:45 a.m.: The "Andas" reaches Natividad Lopez street.

10:10 a.m.: The carriage of the Jesus Nazareno reaches Ayala Bridge.  

12:12 p.m.: The "Andas" is now at Quezon Blvd.

1:23 p.m.: The image of Jesus Nazareno passes through Arlegui Street.

2:48 p.m.: Crowd estimate according to Nazareno Operation Center: Quiapo - 192,400 

2:55 p.m.: The "Andas" is now at TIP Castillejos Street.

3:42 p.m.: The image of Jesus Nazareno is now near Arlegui Street.

4:35 p.m.: The "Andas" reaches Carcer Street.

5:00 p.m.: The "Andas" is now at Hidalgo Street.

5:48 p.m.: The image of Jesus Nazareno reaches San Sebastian Church for the traditional "Dungaw."

6:26 p.m.: The image of Jesus Nazareno is moving to Bilibid Viejo Street.

According to MPD, it is expected to take an additional two to three hours before reaching Quiapo Church.

8:45p.m.: The "Andas" has reached Z.P. De Guzman Street heading towards Hidalgo Street.

11:30 p.m.: The image of Jesus Nazareno reaches Hidalgo Street heading towards Quezon Boulevard. 

11:33 p.m.: The "Andas" is now at Quezon Boulevard going to Palanca Street.

January 10, 2025

12:00 a.m.: The image of Jesus Nazareno arrives at Palanca Street.

12:22 a.m.: The "Andas" moving along Villalobos Street.

1:13 a.m.: The image arrived at Plaza Miranda.

1:26 a.m.: The image of Jesus Nazareno officially arrived at the Quiapo Church.

The procession took 20 hours and 45 minutes.
