Retired judge wins brand-new car in New Year’s raffle in Bacolod


BACOLOD CITY – A retired judge won a brand-new car during Mayor Albee Benitez's New Year’s countdown raffle dubbed “High Five sa 2025”  at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC).

Danilo de la Rosa Amisola of Barangay Villamonte here won in the second draw after the  winner in the first draw failed to answer the call of the city.

The city government turned over the vehicle to Amisola at the BCGC on Jan. 2.

Amisola is a card holder of the Bacolod Comprehensive Health Program (BacChp).

He worked in this city for 11 years and La Carlota City, Negros Occidental for eight years before retiring.

The raffle was  open to all Bacolod residents 18-years-old and above.

Current BacChp members as well as Person with Disability (PWD) and senior citizen cardholders here were automatically guaranteed one raffle entry.

Major prize winners were contacted for entry verification. If the call is not answered, the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be drawn.

The city also drew other winners who bagged kitchen and home appliances. The city received 122,019 raffle entries.

Ian Red and Osang the Rock Diva entertained the crowd and ushered in the New Year at the BCGC.
