Cordillera cops net 32 wanted persons


CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Police apprehended 32 wanted individuals in the Cordillera region from August 30 to September 5.

The Police Regional Office-Cordillera said the Baguio City Police Office nabbed 11 wanted persons, followed by the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) with nine, Abra PPO with eight, and Kalinga PPO with four.

Eleven were most wanted persons – six on provincial, four on the municipal, and one on the regional level.

Fifty-eight towns in the region recorded zero crime incidents for the week. Nineteen were in Abra, 10 in Ifugao, nine each from Benguet and Mountain Province, six from Kalinga, and five from Apayao.

In Baguio City, Police Stations 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, and 10 were crime-free.

The region logged a 39.47 percent decrease in the peace and order indicator (POI) and a 27.27 percent reduction in focus crimes.

PRO-Cordillera achieved a 34.78 percent crime clearance efficiency and a 30.43 percent crime solution efficiency compared to the same period last year.
