Stop using your followers as human shields and just surrender to police.

This was Gabriela Party-list Rep. Arlene Brosas' appeal on Saturday to Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) church leader, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, even as members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) continue their two-week search for him within the KOJC compound in Davao City.

"Quiboloy needs to stop playing God and face the charges against him. Itigil na niya ang drama niya at sumuko na lang siya (He should quit his drama and simply surrender)," Brosas, a Makabayan bloc member, declared.

"Huwag niyang gamitin human shield ang mga taga-suporta niya (He shouldn't use his supporters as human shields). The victims of his alleged crimes deserve justice, and he must submits himself to the legal process," added the House assistant minority leader.

The self-proclaimed "Appointed Son of God" is facing serious allegations of sex trafficking and sexual abuse. These charges involve the exploitation of young girls and women.

"The exploitation of women and children is a grave violation of human rights that must be swiftly addressed. We stand with the victims of Quiboloy. Every day that passes without this criminal being apprehended is another day the victims are denied justice," Brosas said.

Gabriela says it is "opening its doors to the victims of Quiboloy and vows to further strengthen its campaign against violence towards women and children".
