Western Visayas police net P73-M shabu in August


ILOILO CITY – Police seized suspected shabu valued at P73 million in Western Visayas region in August.

The Police Regional Office-6 said a total of 10.7 kilos of shabu were confiscated in 236 police operations.

The PRO-6 Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit recovered P43 million, followed by the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) with  P8.2 million and Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) with P8.1 million.

“These numbers reflect your dedication and commitment to fulfilling your sworn duties. Continue to exert effort in identifying the associates of these suspects and subject them to law enforcement operations if evidence warrants,” Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky, PRO-6 chief, told operating units.

The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) caught 115 suspected drug pushers, 54 by the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO), 46 by BCPO, 42 by IPPO, 12 by Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO), 11 by RPDEU-6, and Antique, Aklan, and Guimaras police offices, nine each.
