Google updates Gemini with Gems and Imagen 3

Google has rolled out new updates for the Gemini AI: Gems and Imagen 3.

Gemini Advanced offers Gems, a versatile tool capable of providing assistance in different tasks, from coding to even career advice.

Here are the top features provided by Gems:

● Learning coach: helps you break down complex topics, making them easier to understand.

● Brainstormer: gives you easy inspiration — from fresh ideas for a themed party to the perfect gift for an upcoming birthday.

● Career guide: unlocks your career potential with detailed plans to refine your skills and achieve your career goals.

● Writing editor: can elevate your writing through clear, constructive feedback on everything from grammar to structure.

● Coding partner: levels up your coding skills and can help you build projects and learn as you go.

The second update is improvements with Imagen 3, Gemini’s image generation. Imagen 3 has safeguards for responsible use. This means no generating of naughty images, as it should. This should also include not being able to generate violent and any type of offensive images.

Imagen 3 will make use of SynthID, a tool that watermarks AI-generated content. This will also limit the number of images generated by people using Gemini Advanced, Business, and Enterprise.

Google will continue to listen to feedback from early-access Gemini Advanced users as it keeps improving and gradually rolling the feature out to more users and languages soon.
