The Bossing (2-3) are currently on a two-game winning streak and they hope to carry the momentum heading into their first assignment in the second round against the Road Warriors (3-2) at 5 p.m.

The Kings (2-2), on the other hand, are hoping to end their first round assignments with a win against a Fuel Masters team (0-4) that is still searching for a breakthrough at 7:30 p.m.

New Blackwater import George King, along with the emergence of second overall pick Sedrick Barefield's game, have successfully injected life to the Bossing cause after a 0-3 start to the conference.

One of those losses came at the hands of NLEX, which defeated Blackwater, 104-87, in their first meeting on Aug. 22.

With both King and Barefield, along with Troy Rosario, RK Ilagan, and Christian David, leading the way, the Bossing are looking at exacting their revenge against the Road Warriors and formally enter into the Top 4 of the Group B standings.

“We're gonna use the momentum to get us going in the second half. We know we have to play everybody all over again, but we're excited for that," said Blackwater head coach Jeff Cariaso.

NLEX, for its part, knew full well that the game would be entirely different from the first one especially that Blackwater, back then, still had Ricky Ledo as import – something that Road Warriors head coach Jong Uichico was wary about.

“They're a different team than doon sa unang laro namin. Very dominating import 'yung import nila so ganado mga (local) players maglaro dahil alam nila na maasahan 'yung import, unlike in our first game," noted Uichico.

Meanwhile in the second game, the Kings are hoping to sustain their good showing in the 119-91 victory over the Road Warriors especially since their retooled locals are finally finding their groove.

Stephen Holt had his best game in Ginebra uniform with 26 points as RJ Abarrientos, Maverick Ahanmisi and Scottie Thompson all put up their conference-best performances in the win.

That’s something that the Fuel Masters also aim to achieve now that they finally have an import proven capable of leading their offense after Brandone Francis exploded for 45 points in his PBA debut.

That is now on the supporting casts of head coach Jamike Jarin to step up and provide help if they want to topple Ginebra. Much of the load falls on the shoulders Tyler Tio and Jason Perkins but guys like Javee Mocon, RR Garcia, RJ Jazul and Ken Tuffin can also step into the spotlight.
