1st alarm raised anew in Marikina River due to heavy rains

The Marikina City local government on Thursday, September 5, raised the 1st alarm at the Marikina River due to heavy continuous rains brought about by the enhanced southwest monsoon.

According to Marikina City Rescue 161, the water level of the river reached 15 meters at 10:40 a.m.

Once the water level reaches 16 meters, the 2nd alarm will be raised.

If the river’s water level reaches 18 meters, this will prompt the raising of the 3rd and final alarm alert, and forced evacuations will be enforced in all the affected areas.
