Passersby stop man from jumping off Quezon City bridge

An unidentified man was prevailed upon by concerned passersby from his attempt to jump off the Circulo Verde Bridge in Quezon City on Wednesday, Sept. 4.

Witnesses said the man was seen standing on the edge of the bridge's railings and looked like he was ready to jump.

Passersby quickly intervened, engaging him in conversation and persuading him to reconsider his actions.

Members of the Coast Guard were also on standby and were prepared to respond.

The man was prevailed upon by the passersby. As of this writing, the city government is trying to identify the man.
