PRO 4-A all set for COC filing starting October 1


CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Police Regional Office 4-A chief Police Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas said they are fully prepared and on high alert for the filing of Certificates of Candidacy in the May 2025 elections starting Tuesday, October 1.

Lucas directed all provincial directors and chiefs of police to coordinate closely with the Commission on Elections to guarantee a peaceful environment.

“We must work collaboratively to ensure that candidates can file their COCs without any issues,” he said.

Lucas ordered the temporary reassignment of police officers with relatives running for office. "This measure aims to remove them from their units within their Areas of Responsibility (AOR) to prevent any potential abuse of authority or conflicts of interest during the election period,” Lucas said.

"Let me remind our officers that the PNP is apolitical, and we are committed to reinforce integrity within our ranks during this election period,” he added.

The  PRO 4-A  Reactionary Standby Support Force is ready to provide additional manpower and peronnal have been deployed to various filing sites to ensure that all applicants can file their COCs without fear or intimidation, Lucas said.
