Motorcycle rider dies after crashing into center island in Quiapo

A motorcycle rider died after crashing into the center island along Quezon Bridge in Quiapo, Manila, on Tuesday, September 3.

The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the suspect as Johnseph Llamido, a resident of Leveriza Street, Pasay City.

Based on a closed circuit television (CCTV) footage, the victim was seen traversing the southbound lane of Quezon Bridge at 1:43 a.m. 

Upon reaching the ascending curve portion of the bridge, he suddenly hit the center island.

He was thrown off his vehicle and landed on the opposite lane of the bridge.

The victim was rushed to Philippine General Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
