PDEA nets P90-M shabu in Sorsogon


LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency seized suspected shabu valued at P90 million during an interdiction operation at Matnog Port in Matnog town, Sorsogon province on Saturday night, September 28.

Carlo Fernandez, PDEA-Bicol information officer, said two suspected drug pushers were arrested – Arsad Kabilan and Jehamin Tato, residents of Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao.

"The illegal drugs were intercepted around 10 p.m. on Sept. 28, 2024 inside the Matnog Port Compound, Matnog, Sorsogon," Fernandez said.

Recovered from the suspects were 18 kilograms of shabu.

The operation was led by the PDEA and supported by the Matnog Municipal Police Station (MPS) and Philippine Ports Authority (PPA).

The suspects face grave drug-related charges, Fernandez said.
