ZAMBOANGA CITY – The suspect in the murder of a barangay chairman here was arrested during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Cawit, this city, on Friday, September 29.
Police Col. Kimberly Molitas, Zamboanga City police chief, identified the suspect as Khyser Daris, alias “Boy.”
Daris allegedly gunned down Barangay Cawit Captain Serbelyo “Beyong” Molina on December 1, 2023.
The suspect yielded a pack of suspected shabu valued at P1.3 million and the P500 marked money.
A witness identified Daris, a high-value target, as the suspect in the murder of Molina.
Daris is also a suspect in the murder of a 21-year-old man in Barangay Cawit.
