SM Supermalls, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), has organized more than 40 job fairs nationwide from July to September.

The job fairs created a crucial platform for over 25,000 job seekers to connect with potential employers.

Amid rising unemployment rates, particularly for new graduates entering the workforce, these job fairs have proven timely and essential.

Data from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) indicates that the job market has been impacted by the influx of new graduates, who found valuable opportunities at these fairs designed to bridge the employment gap.

Through these events, SM Supermalls has made notable progress in generating employment across various sectors, including information technology, retail, business process outsourcing, hospitality, and government services.

This initiative underscores the effectiveness of public-private partnerships in addressing the nation’s unemployment challenges.

The success of the job fairs is evident in the number of job placements achieved, demonstrating the initiative's capacity to provide meaningful employment opportunities.

Attendees have expressed gratitude for the direct engagement with employers, which has streamlined the hiring process.

Looking ahead, more job fairs are scheduled for October. Upcoming events will take place at SM City Davao and SM City Caloocan on October 10, SM City Grand Central, SM City Trece Martires, SM Center Pulilan, and SM Center Las Piñas on October 11, and SM City Puerto Princesa on October 28.
