Members of the Las Piñas City Health Office (CHO) served over 700 individuals during their conduct of a health and wellness caravan aimed at bringing essential medical service closer to residents.

According to CHO head Dr. Julie Gonzalez, the caravan project is an ongoing priority program of Mayor Imelda Aguilar and Vice Mayor April Aguilar to provide accessible and essential healthcare to the people of Las Piñas.

Here, the CHO team goes around the city to help residents particularly senior citizens, persons with disability (PWDs), and children who are unable to visit health centers and diagnostic facilities in the city.

The CHO chief said the medical caravan offers blood sugar and cholesterol testing, blood typing, chest x-rays, ECGs and dental services.

Pneumococcal vaccinations for senior citizens, nutrition counseling, and lifestyle-related illness screenings to help identify risks associated with common non-communicable diseases are also available in the event.

She said Greencard and PhilHealth applications, as well as mobile birth registration services, are also offered during the program.
