Two unexploded vintage bombs were found by workers at a house construction site in Taguig on Sept. 23.

According to the Taguig Police, they received a call about unexploded ordnance (UXO), or weapons that have not detonated, found in Barangay Ligid-Tipas, Taguig.

The police said during the excavation of the construction site, mason Jesbert Bolado and his companion noticed the twin round steel that looked like bombs in a muddy part of the area. They immediately informed a member of a civilian volunteer organization of the Barangay Ligid-Tipas.

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team (EODT) conducted a threat assessment and evaluation before the bombs were taken to another site.

The police identified the vintage bombs as two Mark III 50 lbs GP, which were corroded. The bombs were brought to the SECU office in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig for safekeeping.

Netizen Marx Herras posted photos and a video of the vintage bombs on Facebook.

“Things you don't find everyday,” he wrote.

According to the police, the house construction site was declared safe at 12:45 p.m.
