55-year-old woman yields shabu in Taguig


Operatives from the Taguig Police arrested a 55-year-old woman in a shabu buy-bust operation on Sept. 23. 

The suspect, identified as alias Glenda, was nabbed by personnel from the Taguig Police Drug Enforcement Unit and Substation 6 at about 9:30 p.m. on Santos Extension in Barangay North Signal. 

Law enforcement officers seized three plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing 26.91 grams with a value of P122,988, a marked P500 bill used as buy-bust money, a digital weighing scale and cell phone.

'The seized items will undergo examination at the Southern Police District (SPD) Forensic Unit while the police will file a complaint against the suspect for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). 

SPD chief Brig. Gen. Leon Victor Rosete commended the Taguig Police for their efforts.
