No 'Libreng Sakay' in Pasay City amid transport strike

The Pasay City government announced that there will be no “Libreng Sakays" from the city government amid the two-day transport strike that started on Monday, September 23, to Tuesday, September 24.

According to the Pasay Public Information Office (PIO), Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano is considerate in allowing jeepney drivers to earn and serve commuters despite the strike and added that commuters in the city are usually not affected by it because of the small number of militant groups joining.

The city recorded stable traffic operations in its main thoroughfares on the first day of the transport strike.

Based on the mayor's directive, the deployment of service vehicles will only be made in case there is a need to assist stranded commuters and augment Pasay's public transportation.
