Converge Co-Founder and CEO, Dennis Anthony Uy, welcomes guests in Manila Hotel for the launch of Converge Concierge.

Converge ICT Solutions Inc. successfully launched its latest innovation, Converge Concierge, at the Presidential Suite of Manila Hotel. The latest product is an all-in-one smart TV solution that promises to redefine the hospitality landscape in the Philippines by streamlining hotel operations while elevating guest experiences to new heights.

Benjamin B. Azada, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Converge ICT Solutions Inc., provided insights into how technology has become a cornerstone of modern hospitality. He also emphasized how smart room technology is now at the forefront of guest expectations, and Converge ICT Solutions Inc. is committed to upgrade hotel operations and redefine world-class accommodation.

“Guests today expect more than just a comfortable stay; they demand personalized, seamless, and memorable experiences,” he noted.

Converge operates the largest fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network in the Philippines, offering more than eight million ports and covering over 707,000 kilometers of fiber assets. This extensive network reaches 16 million Philippine households across the nation.

Converge Co-Founder and CEO Dennis Anthony Uy said that Converge Concierge is the latest enterprise innovation that will leverage this extensive infrastructure to offer a 100% internet-based smart TV solution for the hospitality industry. This product goes beyond mere entertainment, promising to revolutionize the entire hotel experience—from the moment guests check in to their final interactions during check-out.

Uy mentioned Converge’s other technological advancements, including its submarine cable network, Bifrost, which spans from Singapore to California. This cutting-edge infrastructure allows for greater speed and capacity in delivering services not just across the Philippines but also globally. The CEO noted that Converge has formed crucial partnerships, including one with Telstra bringing international connectivity to the country, further bolstering its capacity to provide top-tier service to the hospitality sector.

Merging content and connectivity

with SkyTV

The event also marked a significant moment for SkyTV, the IPTV component of Converge Concierge to provide entertainment solutions to hotels across the Philippines. With SkyTV, hotels can now offer their guests a broader array of digital content through an internet-based platform that integrates seamlessly with hotel management systems.

This combination of robust infrastructure and diverse entertainment enables the development of fully integrated smart rooms. Through Converge Concierge, guests will not only watch TV—they will also be able to control their experience at the touch of a button, enabling them to order room service or book a restaurant reservation.

A comprehensive hospitality solution

Bryan Uy, the Technical Manager of Converge ICT Solutions Inc., also took the stage to offer future opportunities into hospitality solutions, including cloud gaming, app-based digital services, and interactive experiences for hotel guests.

“We’re moving away from linear TV. We want to improve the experience of the customers and make it more interactive for them from their restaurant bookings, service bookings, to room dining.” Uy said.

With features like built-in Chromecast and support for multiple applications, this integration means that hotel staff can manage guest check-ins, check-outs, billing, and other services through the same platform, greatly improving efficiency.

Benjamin B. Azada provided a broader vision for the future of Converge and the Philippine tourism industry. He reiterated how the Converge Concierge platform is designed to be scalable, offering solutions not only for large hotels but also for small and mid-sized establishments. "We hope to help with the transformation of the hospitality industry so that our country becomes more competitive in world tourism," Azada said.

Beyond hospitality, Converge is already providing digital solutions for content delivery, Internet of Things (IoT) integration, disaster recovery, cybersecurity, and smart cities. These innovations form part of Converge's broader vision for the future—a future where technology serves not only businesses but also the Filipino people.

With this groundbreaking launch, Converge ICT Solutions Inc. is poised to transform not only the hospitality sector but also the overall Philippine tourism landscape, ensuring a future where technology and comfort seamlessly converge.
