During the recent Health and Wellness Driver Care Event, over 4,000 partners from the platforms’ driver communities and their families participated in seminars and workshops. Through the MMDA, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), the First Metro Asset Management, and Pag-Ibig, those present learned about the importance of a healthy diet, social protection, road safety, and financial wellbeing.

Various health check-ups, including medical, dental, and optometric, were also provided for attendees. Along with Generika Pharmacy, Grab and Move It gave away , health supplements, and appropriate medications following the free consultations. The platforms also provided 700 pre-registered participants with complimentary dentures customized to their dental prescriptions.

Grab and Move It also continued to leverage its partnerships with Pag-IBIG and PhilHealth for an efficient accreditation and membership application process for its partners. “Totoo na walang tatalo sa sipag at diskarte ng mga Grab driver and delivery partners at Move It riders and partners. Sa kanilang kasipagan, minsan nakakaligtaan nilang bigyan pansin ang kanilang kalusugan (It’s true that nothing beats the hard work and initiative of Grab driver and delivery partners and Move It riders and partners. Through their hard work, sometimes they forget to focus on their own health),” shares Grab Philippines head of cities and business operations CJ Lacsican. “Ito ang dahilan kung bakit patuloy tayo sa pagsasagawa ng iba’t ibang hakbangin upang kanila rin namang mapagalagaan nang husto, hindi lamang ang kanilang hanapbuhay, kundi na rin ang sarili nilang kalusugan (It’s why we continue to create different initiatives for them to be abble to take care, not only their jobs, but also their own welfare).

Participants also enjoyed an array of self-care services offered at the event. These services included complimentary haircuts, massages, and nail cleaning sessions – providing a much-needed respite for the platforms’ hardworking partners.

Leading to the event,  Grab and Move It hosted an online seminar for partners, ensuring wide access to wellness education, and to support partners unable to attend the on-ground activities. Esteemed speakers from the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), the Department of Agriculture, and Shell Philippines engaged the audience with insightful discussions on topics such as healthy eating, and vehicle maintenance.

Additionally, in-app learning platforms GrabAcademy and Ka-Move It Academy offer a variety of courses on physical and mental health, as well as financial well-being, readily accessible to drivers at their convenience.
