A FORENSICS investigator processes the house of a barangay chairman in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte after he was shot dead on Friday night, September 20.
Police identified the victim as Francisco Bagay Jr., 45.
Investigation said that Bagay was sitting in the garage of his house at past 6 p.m. when an unidentified man arrived and shot him.
Bagay was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead from multiple bullet wounds.
The gunman fled on board a motorcycle driven by a companion.
Police recovered four fired .45 caliber cartridges cases and a fired bullet in the crime scene. A follow-up investigation is underway to determine the identity of the suspects and the motive.
The victim was a first term barangay councilor.
