Style Weekend: Back to black

Opting for an all-black ensemble is a foolproof way to look chic, but experimenting with different cuts, textures, and silhouettes can make this timeless dress code feel fresh.

My peg for my outfit was one of New Jeans’ outfits in their ETA music video. I’d like to describe my style as maybe personally timeless! Any outfit I'll wear, old me and future me, would wear it too! Like the outfit I wore during the concert, I've already worn it several times. I usually max out the wear out of my clothes and just repeat the base layer of my outfits, I just style it differently through accessories and such! But in reality, I'm just an outfit repeater. My #StyleWeekend involves a lot of lounging, lazing, and relaxing around my room. Sometimes, I catch up with friends by climbing with them and then having dinner after.—Ian Abella

I enjoy blending comfort and style in my outfits. Here, since I’m on an island, I’m wearing a chic yet relaxed look perfect for a sunny day. My personal style is all about feeling comfortable and confident, whether I’m exploring new places or just hanging out with friends. My #StyleWeekend starts with some intense training sessions in freediving or dragon boat paddling. As a freediver coach, my week is all about teaching and sharing my passion for the ocean with my students. When I don’t have students, I go for a jog or participate in dragon boat training as a paddler athlete. My weekdays are a blend of coaching, training, and staying active, ensuring a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle.—Pat Angelica

I am petite and morena so I find that modern and chic styles complement me. While I definitely follow trends, I generally shop with care and won’t buy into a trend that doesn’t complement my existing wardrobe. I tend to avoid bright colors and go for a tone-on-tone look. My jewelry choices reflect this minimal approach, either making a statement with a single accessory or balancing many more subtle pieces. After a week of work in my insurance and restaurant business, My #StyleWeekend usually starts with my big family watching our comfort TV shows or having karaoke/game nights. The days after are rest, reflection, movie time with my kid, and grooming our pets.—Ayi Reyes

What I wear most of the time tends to be a mix of black and white. I like to add a pop of color, usually with the bag I’m using. As seen in the photo, I clipped a small teddy bear to my denim jacket since I was wearing an all-black outfit. My #StyleWeekend usually involves going to concerts and events by different artists, especially my favorite band, Cup of Joe, while wearing outfits that truly express my style.—Blessy Reigne
