Man punches MMDA enforcer during Pasay clearing ops


A 49-year-old man was arrested by members of the Pasay City Police Substation for attacking a Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) traffic aide during the conduct of a clearing operation on Wednesday, September 18.

The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspect as  “Jong” who was arrested along Advincula Street and FB Harrison Street in Pasay City.

The police said Pasay Police Substation 2 officers were conducting a clearing operation when the suspect attacked the 62-year-old victim. Jong reportedly punched the enforcer several times on the head and mouth.

Witnesses immediately called for police assistance where they discovered P1,360 worth of shabu in the possession of the suspect.

Jong was charged with indirect assault and illegal possession of drugs.
