Tricycle driver, 2 others yield P340,000 shabu in Rizal


Around P340,000 worth of shabu was seized from a tricycle driver and two others during a buy-bust operation in Taytay, Rizal, on Wednesday, September 18.

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) identified the tricycle driver as “Loloy,” and the two others as “Che” and “Tatay.”

The suspects were arrested following the operation conducted by the Taytay Drug Enforcement Team in Barangay Sta. Ana.

Authorities confiscated from them a total of 50 grams of shabu. They also recovered a .45 caliber pistol from Loloy.

The confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Rizal Provincial Forensic Unit for proper documentation.

Meanwhile, the suspects are currently detained at the Taytay Custodial Facility and are facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and RA 10591 (Firearms Law).
