NNIC: No immediate terminal reassignments at NAIA despite turnover

The management of the New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) clarified that the present terminal assignments of airlines will remain in the country's main gateway amid social media reports, which it said, has been confusing passengers.

In a statement, NNIC general manager Angelito Alvarez said the recent turnover of management and supervision of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) will not immediately translate to new terminal assignments.

"The status quo remains in place as operations continue smoothly under the new management," said Alvarez.

Alvarez assured that the terminal reassignments will not be implemented all at once but phased over time, with the goal of minimizing disruptions.

"We assure travelers that any future terminal reassignments or changes will be introduced gradually and strategically. These adjustments will be aligned with ongoing infrastructural and technical upgrades at the airport, ensuring a seamless experience for passengers," he added.

"NNIC is committed to keeping the public informed, and any changes to terminal assignments will be communicated in advance to ensure a smooth and efficient transition as part of broader modernization efforts," he added.
