Man nabbed with shabu in Taguig

Police operatives arrested a man with suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Taguig on Sept. 17.

The Taguig Police Drug Enforcement Unit conducted the buy-bust operation at about 5:30 p.m. on Maharlika Road in Barangay Upper Bicutan.

Arrested during the operation was a suspect identified as alias Kadir, 50. The police seized six plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing 29.9 grams valued at P203,320, and a P500 bill and five pieces of P1,000 boodle money used in the operation.

The drug evidence will be submitted to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for chemical analysis, while the suspect will be slapped with a complaint for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Article 2 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
