Antipolo City deploys aid to fire-hit Caviteños


The Antipolo City government on Tuesday, September 17, deployed its Mobile Disaster Response Services to over 1,000 fire-hit residents of Barangay Zapote III in Bacoor Cavite, Antipolo City Mayor Jun Ynares said.

According to Ynares, the city's Mobile Kitchen, Mobile Shower, Mobile Water Purifier, and other services were immediately dispatched to the evacuation centers of the said barangay.

On September 12, Bacoor authorities said there are still families staying at the 16 evacuation centers in the city.

Aside from aid from the local government, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has also extended relief to the families affected by the fire including medical care for those who need it.

Several individuals and civilian groups have also organized donation drives for the victims.

According to a report from the Police Regional Office 4A, eight people have been injured in the fire, including those who suffered burns, lacerations, abrasions, and difficulty in breathing.
