P3PWD Party-list nominee Rowena Guanzon has been urging Filipinos to make the right choice in the upcoming 2025 mid-term elections.

Perhaps this is the reason why she's calling for the inclusion or mention in the certificates of candidacy (COC) of the college course taken up and completed by election hopefuls.

"Ilagay sa Cert of Candidacy kung ano ang natapos na kurso ! (The course completed should be written in the certificate of candidacy!)" Guanzon wrote on X on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

The outspoken former Commission on Elections commissioner further suggested that those aspiring for public office subject themselves first to various tests.

"Lifestyle check, waiver of bank accts, drug (hair follicle)test pati sa mga kalbo na gaya ni Bato (even to people with shaved heads like Bato), sperm count tests, lahat na test (all of these tests) before filing certificates of candidacy," he said.

The filing of COCs for next year’s polls will start in October.

The 1987 Constitution sets relatively simple requirements for individuals who want to run for the position of President, Vice President, Senator, and member of the House of Representatives.

These requirements are follows: a natural-born citizen of the Philippines, a registered voter (in the case of district representatives in the House), and able to read and write.

Guanzon, a lawyer, also holds a master's degree in public administration from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.
