Former Iloilo mayor Jed Mabilog returns from exile

After almost seven years of hiding abroad, former Iloilo mayor Jed Mabilog, who was tagged as a narco-politician during the Duterte administration, returned to the country on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

Mabilog was picked up by National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) operatives after he arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3, at around 11 a.m. onboard a Cathay Pacific flight.

The travel documents in his possession showed that he came from New York in the United States, and these were certified by Our consul.

It could be recalled that Mabilog was included in former President Rodrigo Duterte's narcolist in 2017, and, since then, he has gone into hiding. He is scheduled to give his testimony to a congressional quad committee on what he knows about the Duterte administration's war against illegal drugs.
