Bear with me on this one, it’s going to be a mouthful: The new OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G (whew) is here in the country.
OnePlus has always been on our radars ever since they’ve been making headlines years ago for their well-designed smartphones that had always been a bang for the buck. The OnePlus 11, the OnePlus 12, and the OnePlus 12R are all champions in the field.
The new Nords has a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with 2100 nits of peak brightness. That should burn through your retinas at night. OnePlus also boasts dual stereo speakers with a 300% Ultra Volume Mode, just in case you’re having an in-person watch party of more than five groups and this new Nord is the device of choice to stream.
This new Nord smartphone has a 5500mAh battery, which OnePlus boasts is the longest in their history. They added that with the Nord CE4 Lite 5G you can have 44 hours straight video calls and 50 hours of playtime. To supplement this is an 80W SUPERVOOC fast charger.
The OnePlus 11, 12, 12R, and the Open (which is not available here, as far as I’m aware) have excellent cameras. The Nord CE4 Lite comes in close with its 50MP and 2MP cameras.
Other features include Trinity Engine, which is, essentially, a performance booster. It runs OxygenOS 14 that offers screen-off gestures and Smart Cutout.
There’s 8GB of RAM with an additional eight that can be borrowed from the 256GB of storage. 1TB microSD card is also supported. And, powering the phone is a Snapdragon 695 5G. Not bad.
