Direk Rey, professionally known as Rey Coloma, is a prominent figure in the film and therapeutic industries. He holds an extensive list of academic qualifications, including a PhD, RCT, DHumLitt, NMD, CFPP, CSMC, CEMP, and CFBIC. He has achieved international recognition as an award-winning actor, writer, and director.

Coloma’s directorial talents are showcased in his diverse portfolio of experimental and narrative films, celebrated by critics locally and globally. His films have won numerous prestigious international awards. Notably, he was recognized by the Office of the President CEZA for his contribution as a Technical Jury member in their inaugural and subsequent film festivals. Recently, he received the Diamond Award and Gold Award at the Wallachia International Film Festival in Bucharest, Romania. 

In addition to his cinematic work, Dr. Coloma is deeply committed to the arts and advocacy. The Film Development Council of the Philippines recognizes him as a Film Ambassador, and he has also been honored by the youth organization SIRIB Ilocos Norte Express 2022. Moreover, he is a respected psyche therapist, herbalist, complementary therapist, and alternative medicine advocate, promoting a holistic approach to wellness and healing. 

Direk Coloma also has two upcoming feature films: Pambansang Security Guard, starring Maja Salvador, Pebbles Dizon, Eric Padilla, Jeric Raval, and others, and Fearl is a Happiness, which will be shot in Japan.
