Television host and entrepreneur Rep. Sam Verzosa Jr. encouraged people to embrace a culture of generosity, stating that it could lead to tremendous success.

"Dito ko naisip na, it’s not just about charity and giving but inspiring and teaching. That’s the formula I know to succeed, which is as simple as paying it forward," said Sam during a recent interview at a charity event in Tondo, Manila.

Sam not only displayed generosity but also emphasized the importance of studying and working hard to the young people.

"Kaya I worked hard as a student. Always striving to be the best. Nakapagtapos ako ng grade school and high school Sa Angelicum College, kung saan I became valedictorian of my batch.

"In high school, nag-participate din ako sa 'Battle of the Brains', a televised national quiz show in which I was able to showcase my academic skills. Tapos nung college, naging scholar ng bayan ako. U.P. Diliman and I graduated with a civil engineering degree," Sam also said.

Sam, 36, also said he worked hard to make Frontrow an established direct-selling company known for distributing an elite line of health and beauty products.

"Sa awa ng Diyos, our hard work paid-off. Frontrow became very successful. What a lot of people don’t know is that to be successful in Frontrow, you have to pay it forward.

"Ibig sabihin, no one can make it on his own. Kailangan mo yung tulong ng ibang tao. So kung mas marami kang matulungan, mas maraming tutulong sayo. At mas lalago ang negosyo mo," he said.

Sam is a co-host of the game show "Wil To Win," which Willie Revillame hosts on TV5. One of the celebrities who inspires him to embrace the culture of generosity is Kuya Wil.

"So dun palang, sa konsepto ng negosyo namin, may kultura na of giving. Kasi you’re giving opportunity, you’re giving business, you’re giving livelihood that affects people’s lives positively. And ultimately it makes you more successful also.

"Kaya nang maging successful ang Frontrow, paying it forward never left my consciousness. And this time, I want to pay it forward without getting anything in return. Sa madaling salita, gusto ko lang tumulong dahil nagtagumpay ako," said Sam, also host of the public service program Dear SV on GMA Network.

Kapag nakita mong guminhawa ang buhay ng buong pamilya niya dahil sa tulong mo, walang kapalit yung kasiyahang mararamdaman mo because of that achievement.

"And all these happiness is only cause tumulong ka. Kaya lagi kong sinasabi  na “The True Purpose of Wealth is to help others.”
