Bulk of the equipment amounting to P11.6 million was issued by the Philippine National Police national headquarters.

The remaining equipment worth P5.3 million was funded by the Congress-Initiated Changes/Adjustment (CICA) for the benefit of the Antique Police Provincial Office.

Wanky urged police provincial and city directors to use and maintain them properly as these were funded by people’s money.

Distributed equipment were dirt bike motorcycles, patrol jeeps, light patrol vehicles, vans, and tires for police units in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental provinces as well as the highly urbanized cities of Iloilo and Bacolod.

Police Lt. Col. Arnel Solis, PRO-6 chief information officer, said the allocation for the vehicles and other equipment was based on the needs of particular police units.
