Ben&Ben denied allegations they are supposedly prone to easing out others acts during concerts.
The issue came to light recently, with the band being criticized by fans on social media for allegedly being the main reason why singer-songwriter dwta was unable to perform at an event held in Far Eastern University Diliman (FEU Diliman).
Others mentioned how something similar happened to Tanya Markova in 2022, an issue that the latter touched on in a recent appearance on the Koolpals podcast.
In their statement, Ben&Ben denied the charges, pointing their collective fingers towards the concert organizers, reiterating that changes in performance schedule solely depend on them.
Ben&Ben also maintained they have "always been passionate about fighting for artists' rights" going on to share how they always insist to makes sure every act scheduled to perform in whatever event they are involved in get to do so.
"It was heartbreaking on the band's end to learn that in spite of all these preventive measures and constant communication, dwta, an artist that the band admires and has long been a fan of, was unable to perform, as decided upon by the event organizers," Ben&Ben said.
The band vowed that moving forward, it will include in its contracts a stipulation where they will only agree to perform if the program is followed and no other performers are dropped.
"We will not take these issues sitting down any longer. We believe it is important to bring truth to matters like these, and hold the proper entities accountable for these untoward incidents," the band concluded.
As to the Tanya Markova issue, Ben&Ben reiterated they had already cleared the air with the group relating the matter prior, noting, "As early as the next few days after the event, the band had gone to the extent of scheduling a meeting with the parties involved, and apologizing on behalf of the organizers, even if the band had no decision-making authority in the sequence of events."
"In all this, we hope this finally brings truth out, and holds the right parties accountable," the statement ended.
