Pasay LGU suspends face-to-face classes due to Taal volcanic smog

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano ordered the immediate suspension of face-to-face classes in all levels in public and private school due to poor air quality brought about by the Taal volcano's volcanic smog.

The mayor ordered the suspension of classes in the city at around 11:00 a.m. based on the recommendation made by the Pasay City disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.

She also ordered all students who were already inside their school to go home immediately for them not to be exposed to the danger brought by the volcanic smog.

Schools were given the option to decide on the learning modality they are going to implement due to the suspension.

Rubiano also ordered the public to wear face mask at all times especially in going out of their house.
