HBO Original limited series The Penguin begins with the series premiere on Friday, Sept. 20, on HBO and HBO GO, with all subsequent new episodes of the eight-episode series continuing every Monday from Sept. 30. HBO has also released the official key art for The Penguin.

Showrunner Lauren LeFranc developed Batman. The series centers on the character played by Collin Farrell (Oz Cobb) in the film.
Aside from Collin, the cast includes Cristin Milioti (Sofia Falcone), Rhenzy Feliz (Victor Aguilar), Michael Kelly (Johnny Viti), Shohreh Aghdashloo (Nadia Maroni), Deirdre O’Connell (Francis Cobb),
Clancy Brown (Salvatore Maroni), James Madio (Milos Grapa), Scott Cohen (Luca Falcone), Michael Zegen (Alberto Falcone), Carmen Ejogo (Eve Karlo) and Theo Rossi (Dr. Julian Rush).
The series is executive produced by Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark, Colin Farrell, Lauren LeFranc, who writes and serves as showrunner, Craig Zobel, who directs the first three episodes, and Bill Carraro.
The Penguin is produced by Reeves' 6th Idaho Productions and Dylan Clark Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. Reeves and 6th Idaho are under an overall deal with DC Studios. The characters were created for DC by Bob Kane and Bill Finger. Additionally, Daniel Pipski serves as an executive producer.
