P31-M shabu found floating in Batanes, Cagayan


TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – Fishermen recovered packs of suspected shabu floating on the sea of this province and Batanes last week.

SANCHEZ Mira was among the towns in Cagayan where a pack of floating shabu was found. 

Police Major Sharon Mallillin, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office 2, said four packs weighing a total of 4.5 kilos and valued at P31.1 million were found.

The Cagayan Valley Region Police Forensic Group is examining the purity and grade of the contraband from the towns of Sanchez Mira, Aparri, Calayan, and Abulug.

Mallillin called on fishermen to immediately report and turnover any discovery to the police.

Calayan Mayor Joseph Llopis offered a P25,000 to the fisherman who surrendered a floating pack of shabu in the municipality.
