P12-M marijuana destroyed in Kalinga, Benguet


CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Police destroyed marijuana plants valued at P12.5 million in eradication operations in the provinces of Kalinga and Benguet from August 7 to 8.

In Tabuk City, Kalinga, police discovered 52,000 fully grown marijuana plants worth P10.4 million in Barangay Nambaran.

Police also discovered 10,000 fully grown marijuana plants valued at P2 million in Barangay Loccong, Tinglayan, Kalinga.

Eight-hundred marijuana plans worth P160,000 were found in Barangay Tacadang, Kibungan, Benguet.

According to the Police Regional Office-Cordillera, these successful operations underscore their continued commitment against illegal drugs and ensure the safety of local communities.
