First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos on Tuesday, July 9, welcomed Kris Aquino’s sons—Josh and Bimby—in her office, saying that it was “so nice to see” the two brothers “after all these years.”

The post surprised netizens, who are well-versed on the deep-rooted political and personal animosity between the Marcoses and Aquinos.
“Thank you Bimby and Josh for dropping by. It was so nice to see you guys after all these years,” the First Lady said in a post on Facebook.
She posted a photo, showing herself between the Aquino brothers, with Josh’s arms linked with hers.
Josh, who has been staying in the Aquino hometown of Tarlac, was also reunited with younger brother Bimby who arrived from the United States recently to continue his studies here.
On her Instagram account, Araneta-Marcos shared more photos of their meeting.
“Thank you for taking time off to visit me, Bimby and Josh. (heart emoji) my pasalubong!,” she wrote.

She and Bimby were seen holding up a box containing gifts for the First Lady.
Kris, the youngest daughter of the late democracy icons former senator Ninoy Aquino and former president Cory Aquino, as well as youngest sister to the another former president, the late Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino, remains in the US for treatments concerning several autoimmune diseases.
She revealed in showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz’s vlog recently that she would probably be back in the country in the last quarter of the year.
The Aquinos and Marcoses have had a long history together, with Ninoy having been a leading opposition voice against President Marcos’ father and the First Lady’s father-in-law, the late former president Ferdinand Marcos Sr.
On the Araneta side, Kris is known to be close to her godmother, Judy Araneta, former senator Mar Roxas’s mother and the First Lady’s aunt.
