Antonio Ocampo named chief of First Metro Investment


Antonio R. Ocampo, Jr. has been appointed as the new president and director of First Metro Investment Corporation, taking over from Jose Patricio A. Dumlao who retired last June 30 after four years with the company.

Ocampo, an executive in the Metrobank Group with over 30 years of experience in corporate and investment banking, previously served in leadership roles at ORIX METRO Leasing and Finance Corporation ORIX Rental Corporation, ORIX Auto Leasing Philippines Corporation, and Metrobank’s Corporate Banking Group.

Before joining the Metrobank Group, Ocampo worked at Deutsche Bank AG in various capacities, including leading the Global Network Banking division. 

Mary Mylene Caparas, First Metro chairman, said that Ocampo's new role will drive the company's growth and long-term value.

In 2023, First Metro showed resilience and strengthened its market share. It helped facilitate various capital market deals and maintained its position as one of the most recognized arrangers and underwriters for corporate and government bond issuances in the country.
