CEBU CITY – Five persons were arrested when a suspected drug den was raided in Barangay Sawang Calero here on Wednesday afternoon, July 3.
Seized from them by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas (PDEA-7) was 12 grams of suspected shabu worth P81,600.
Arrested were 49-year-old Joel Perame, the alleged drug den maintainer, and Jurich Catillo, 19; Ace Gonzales, 24l Alex Batulan, 47, and John Lloyd Algabre, 22.
Leia Alcantara, information officer of PDEA-7, said it took two months of case build-up before the drug den was successfully dismantled.
Alcantara said Parame was arrested in 2016 for illegal drug offense but was released from jail after availing of a plea bargain.
