Muslim tribal groups offer to secure VP Sara


DAVAO CITY – Six Muslim  tribal groups here expressed support on Wednesday, July 31, and offered to secure  Vice President Sara Z. Duterte and the rest of the Duterte family.

In an open letter  on social media, Maguindanao tribe deputy mayor Jibreel Nakan said on behalf of the Iranun, Kagan, Maguindanao, Maranao, Sama, and Tausug tribes, they would like to offer security support to the Duterte family.

“Dear Vice President Inday Sara Duterte, in a gesture of solidarity and support, we have mobilized a dedicated group of volunteers to offer enhanced security services for you and the entire Duterte family,” Nakan said.

Nakan said they have assembled 120 volunteers, with 20 representatives from each tribe. He added that these volunteers have been thoroughly briefed and have completed an orientation to ensure they are well-prepared for their roles.

“Their commitment reflects our deep respect and commitment to the safety and well-being of your esteemed office and family. The volunteers are ready and available to be at your disposal at any time should you require additional security measures,” he said.

Nakan emphasized the readiness of their volunteers to serve stems from a place of unity and respect, as well as a shared commitment to maintaining the safety of those who serve thebcountry with distinction.

The tribal groups, Nakan said, hope this gesture will be a meaningful contribution to Vice President Duterte and her family’s security arrangements. He added that they remain at their service for any further needs or instructions.
