Former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile says he agrees with President Marcos' move of imposing a total ban on Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).

"If i were the President, I agree with the President, I will kick out POGO in this country," Enrile told House reporters in a chance interview at around Wednesday noon, July 31.

"POGO is a money laundering operation," added the chief presidential legal counsel.

Enrile, who turned 100 last February, went to the House of Representatives in Batasang Pambansa Complex, Quezon City to attend a joint panel investigation on illegal POGOs in the country and the different crimes associated with them.

She was accompanied by his daughter, Katrina Ponce Enrile, to the joint panel hearing.

President Marcos, in his State of the Nation Address (SONA) last July 22, declared a total ban on POGOs.

Asked if Marcos consulted him first before making the announcement, the ex-Senate President said: "[I] will not tell you. Just between him and myself."
