The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has prepared its airports for passengers traveling for the opening of the school year (SY) 2024-2025 on Monday, July 29.

The implementation of "Oplan Biyaheng Ayos: Balik Eskwela" has been activated, effectively increasing personnel at airports and establishing assistance desks for passengers.

"Malasakit" kits have also been distributed to student passengers and parents at the airports in Zamboanga, Butuan, Surigao, Siargao, Tacloban, Catarman, Calbayog, Borongan, Pagadian and Dipolog, according to CAAP.

The Malasakit kit contains essential school supplies such as notebooks, pens, snacks, and hand sanitizer, CAAP said.

"CAAP supports the initiative, ensuring a smooth and safe travel experience for all passengers during the busy Balik Eskwela period, reaffirming its commitment to passenger welfare and efficient airport operations," the agency said.
