Presidential security command ready to keep VP Sara safe


Presidential Security Command commander Nelson Morales said that they are ready to ensure the security of Vice President Sara Duterte after she was stripped of police security escorts.

"The Presidential Security Command is ready to ensure the security and safety of the Vice President," Morales said on Tuesday, July 23.

Morales' statement came after Vice President Duterte confirmed that the chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) has ordered the relief of 75 police personnel previously assigned for her security.

“I confirm that on 22 July 2024, an Order was issued by the Chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) relieving all of the 75 PNP Police and Security Group personnel that were previously assigned for my protection,” the Vice President said in a statement on Tuesday.
