DPWH: EDSA-Santolan flyover to be partially closed from July 19–22, 26–29

The northbound portion of the EDSA-Santolan flyover in Quezon City will be partially closed for two weekends to facilitate road repairs, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said on Saturday, July 20.

In an advisory, the DPWH said the repair activities would commence at 11 p.m. on July 19 and will continue until 5 a.m. on July 22, with a second phase scheduled for 11 p.m. on July 26 until 5 a.m. on July 29.

"All repair activities will be conducted during the nighttime to prevent traffic congestion," the DPWH said.

To execute the repairs, the DPWH specified that lane-by-lane operations would be utilized.

Initially, the existing asphalt pavement will be removed using rotomilling across the entire width of the affected sections. Subsequently, an asphalt overlay will be applied to restore the pavement.

The same process will be followed for the remaining areas scheduled for repair.

Motorists are strongly advised to take alternative routes during the specified dates to avoid inconvenience.
